The greater region is home to one million people, and is Pennsylvania’s third largest metropolitan area. Recent Pennsylvania census studies show it to be the fastest growing region of the state.

The Lehigh Valley is known has historically as a major U.S. center of industrial manufacturing but has transitioned to become a well diversified business corridor with a traditionally strong work ethic.
